The Home Cooked Meal

The home cooked meal is a cornerstone of a thoughtful life.

Here’s a simple and solid recipe you can use to make the most out of this month’s Manner box. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Masa Harina
  • 1 ½ to 2 Cups Hot Water
  • 1 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 Flank Steak 
  • 2-3 Limes
  • 1 Medium White Onion
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro
  • Any Other Toppings You Like 

HOMEMADE TORTILLAS

Mix the dough using the ingredients listed below

Let the dough rest for 5-10 minutes

Portion the dough into equal sized portions about the size of a golf ball

Press the dough using the tortilla press

Cook the tortillas using your pan with oil

Repeat with the remaining dough balls and you’re set!


SIMPLE FLANK STEAK TACOS

Season your raw flank steak with a light salt garnish.

Press your tortillas

Prep your toppings (1 white onion, 1 bunch cilantro, and a couple limes). Dice up the onion and set aside. Cut up your cilantro and set aside. 

Cook your tortillas

Squeeze one whole lime evenly on the tortillas and sprinkle with a light sprinkle of salt. 

Heat your cast iron with a the cooking oil of your choice and cook your flank steak for 7-10 minutes on each side

Pull off and rest then slice up and top your taco and dig in!
